First, thank you to all of my amazing clients for being so patient with me during this busy wedding season! I love how every wedding has its own unique personality. Sabrina & Apur's wedding at the gorgeous Adamson House in Malibu was one rich with tradition & culture, both Eastern & Western. This day represented the joining of two incredible families & traditions. The day had all of the ingredients of a one-of-a-kind event: a beautiful couple madly in love, an exquisite location, and a distinct celebration of cultural heritage.
my favorite shot...Sabrina & Apur sneaking away from the reception for a quiet moment alone to watch the sunset...love love this moment!!
the day was so vibrant, full of color, celebration and life!
the incredible, Sabrina + incredible gown = GORGEOUS BRIDE!!
a sweet moment during the ceremony...
Thank you so much to Ashley Tearston who did such a great job planning & coordinating this incredible day! She also created all of the beautiful floral arrangements! She's an amazing talent! Congratulations, Sabrina & Apur! More about The Adamson House on the new Joy Marie Blog.

Although I connected with Liz very late in her pregnancy, she's just a natural beauty, and did great in front of the camera! We hooked up again a few weeks later when Baby Oliver arrived! He's a little peanut, and such a cutey!!
and drum roll please.....
Congratulations, Liz & Scott, on the wonderful new addition to your family!

It was gorgeous day for Lisa & Tim's wedding. They chose to keep it a very intimate affair with only family, close friends and their golden retriever ringbearers at the Ojai Valley Inn in Ojai. I fell in love with these two during the engagement shoot. Although Tim pulled a lower leg muscle in a golfing accident just before the wedding, he mustered enough strength to make it to the altar! Here are a few of my favorite moments...

I had the pleasure of meeting the beautiful Racquel & David last year when I photographed her big sis, Michelle's Napa Wedding (love this family!). Racquel & David are absolutely adorable, and so is their "baby," Naia, a very bouncy Jack Russell. We started our day in scenic Playa Vista, and ended up down at the beach where we ran into what felt like a Category 5 sand storm. Racquel & David were troopers though, and worked it for the camera despite the elements.
Naia knew how to work the lens too!
I'm really looking forward to their February wedding aboard a yacht in Newport Beach. Can't wait!! Way to rock it, Racquel & David. See you soon!

Introducing my new Nashville friends, Phil & Mindy Thornton of Thornton Photo; two of Nashville's hottest wedding photographers. I recently shot a few pics of them for the relaunch of their brand. Not only are they a super cute duo, but they are crazy talented and hilaaaaarious! They had me cracking up the entire time...I could hardly keep my camera still! Stay tuned because their updated brand is on fire; especially their new name...which I've promised to keep a secret until further notice!

I could barely keep my boys still for 2 seconds to snap these few pics before we hit the streets. Micah was supposed to be a cowboy, but was convinced he was a horse. And I can't even tell you what Elon & Jaden were, but they came fierce with it! Our night...a lot of testoterone + waaayy too much candy =
