'Rock the Reception' - Premieres on TLC Sunday
'Rock the Reception' premieres this Sunday night, June 1st, on TLC (The Learning Channel) at 9PM Pacific (8PM Central). Marti & Todd, whose wedding I photographed a couple of months ago, are part of this premiere episode. Marti heard from the producers that the show turned out great. Amee + Mark - Old Town Pasadena
Last week, I got to shoot an amazing engagement session for Amee and Mark who...ROCKED IT!! If you don't know by now, I have a bit of an obsession for engagement shoots, and this was the perfect combination of my favorite things: 2 beautiful people madly in love, lots of alleys & crusty walls and some incredible California sunshine! I'm really looking forward to their Art Deco wedding in Downtown Los Angeles. Let's kick it off with a "floating sci-fi" shot just for Mark (a huge fan). The Slideshow!

The Lewis Family - Long Beach
Meet the Lewis Family! Last week, I had a double portrait session in the LBC. First up, was this awesome family. Here's a few of my favorites from the day. Although the kids weren't too excited for a photo session at first, they quickly warmed up and showed their true personalities and incredible smiles. A jumping competition always helps.

Amy + David - Venice Engagement
When Amy suggested that we do her and David's engagement shoot in Venice, I thought, "Perfect...artsy and super cool, just like the two of them!" I love when two beautiful people come together and somehow create even more beautifulness!! Check out their Slideshow!

A Shout Out to My Mom on Mother's Day!
Anyone who knows my mom, knows what an incredible woman she is. For those that don't, here's just a taste....
My MOM:
-is the most incredible artist in the Northwest, or, for that matter, anywhere (her GINORMOUS paintings below)
-spends her Friday evenings feeding the homeless.
-grows her own food, yep even the eggs are fresh!
-raised 3 biological children, but opened our house to so many other kids who needed a home.
-was green before it was cool...no trash compactor for us, chicken food & composting baby!
-makes the meanest chocolate chip cookies on the planet
-is still married to my dad (whose pretty cool himself) 37 years strong!
-is so humble that reading this will probably make her uncomfortable.
If I can be even a smidgin of who she is, I will be so very honored. Mom, thank you for teaching me, for supporting my dreams and for challenging me to be a better person. You are an inspirational woman, wife, mother and artist. You are not only the best mom a girl could have, but you're also the best friend a girl could have, and I love you so very much!! Happy Mother's Day to all of you incredible mommies out there that make this world a better place!

Fashion Shoot - New Kid's Clothing Line
It was difficult to choose which shots to post from this kid's fashion shoot. I was so proud of how these (mostly 2 and 3 year old) kids WORKED IT OUT!! A lot of these poses were unrehearsed! More to come from this Los Angeles-based children's apparel line. But for now... here's the fall collection. Thank you to all of the incredible models and mommies who made it possible!

Tara & Joe - Westwood Engagement
Aren't these two stunning?!? I had such a good time shooting Tara & Joe's engagement session in Westwood. I've been looking forward to this shoot for a long time. Tara & Joe booked me back in 2006 before they even had a wedding date! Tara & Joe, you guys are truly beautiful people. I can't wait for your Santa Barbara wedding next month!! Love the Slideshow!
